Well written & realistic, but just not my cup of tea. I have a hard time connecting with characters i don’t like, and i wasn’t a fan of Stevie for most of the book.

When I started this book, I didn’t think I was going to finish. It was cringey, straight from pro-ana Tumblr. But I stuck with it and I’m glad I did. Stevie really drew me in. She is such a complex character and you can really feel her pain and her growth. Anna is also portrayed so, so well; she’s a great representation of what a good therapeutic relationship can be. The book ends on a hopeful note, but I would still not recommend this book to anyone currently struggling with an eating disorder or not very solidly in recovery. Very strong trigger warnings for eating disorders and suicide.
