I bounced off the first three stories in this collection - maybe the theme of ending with a dead animal repelled me a little bit, putting me off what I thought was a more spec-fic collection, rather than contemporary literary fiction.
I warmed up to her stories of dysfunctional artists, but ultimately I got a little tired of seeing the romantic problems of fairly dull middle-class white people.
