Wow! I just really liked this! Short ‘n’ sweet, with such a simple story driven by an unexpectedly charming main character. The perfect balance of story building, story revealing, character development, characterization, excitement, quiet moments, insightfulness, humanity, natural narrative woven with social commentary … I’m not sure what more to say except read it! You won’t be disappointed. I’ll definitely be reading more in the series.

You can’t help but relate to the introverted Robot who is hired to kill but just wants to watch TV. The plot is interesting enough, but you stay for the protagonist. The emotional portrait is surprisingly complex for the silly hook. The book is genuinely funny.

Loved the protagonist and the world being built here- and am looking forward to continuing the series.

Knocked off a star because the narrative of this novella builds to a 'final battle' climax- and then the main character gets knocked out and everything is resolved while it is unconscious. So there's no real payoff to the plot arc of the book.

A sweet light read, but doesn't have a meaty plot or any character development beyond the main character.
