By far one of the best books on the history of impeachment in 5 concise chapters. The details of the Nixon one was fascinating . Although written before TRUMP's impeachment the facts were all there- partisanship etc. Highly recommend to get a great understanding of the political meaning of criminal !

Excellent review of impeachment history with relevant thoughts about the current situation. I liked the concluding remark, “...And with the important caveat that so long as there remains no doubt that the next election will occur (and its results trusted), we would all be less frustrated if we focused on winning the next rather than litigating the last.”

Borrowed from the library.

For me, the most interesting insight (which I'd not considered before), is the degree to which the "original intent" of the Constitution's impeachment provisions likely reflected the framers' assumption that George Washington would be the first president. Thus, Washington's personal qualities became the unwritten standard against which future presidents were expected to be evaluated.

A straightforward book on how impeachment works and doesn't work put into a historical perspective. A very interesting read.

A timely and authoritative book on the history of the most important authorities of Congress and how it was used so far.

A look back at what the founding fathers intended for impeachment to be. This book was very well done and without bias. It’s a fact-based view of 3 impeachments and the actions and politics that led up to them.

Good primer on the three times impeachment has been used in the United States. A gravely serious tool with implications ignored by most.

Most of this I already learned in school; Watergate Documentary; News; etc. Kind of disappointed.
