Thomas no Shinzou merupakan salah satu masterpiece Hagio Moto selain Poe no Ichizoku.

Jumping into this book, I knew it would be a tragic read – but damn this one really got me. Juli, Eric, and Oskar could not catch a break! So many things went wrong for these boys and a lot of stuff felt unresolved. Still, with everything that happened in this book, the fact that Juli survived the end of this story is a win! I'm counting it as a win, love be damned! Really felt for the boys & adored Oskar to pieces and I'd like the think they reunite in the future and remain friends after everything that happened between them!

Beautiful art. All the dramatic twists and turns you'd expect from a good 70's shoujo manga, and altogether less depressing than say, Dear Brother or Kaze to Ki no Uta. Unfortunately the Fantagraphics edition has some quality control issues (typos--some being quite egregious--and instances where the Japanese text hasn't properly been removed).
Graphic: Abandonment, Self harm, Grief, Xenophobia, and Suicide
Moderate: Sexual assault, Mental illness, Sexual harassment, Bullying, Panic attacks/disorders, and Death of parent
Minor: Car accident, Infidelity, Torture, and Violence
