Honestly this book on its own could be adapted into multiple seasons of a TV show. There were a couple of points where our modern world bled into this one that definitely caught me off guard. Maybe they shouldn’t have because there is a yellow school bus in the very beginning plopped into this medieval world of witches and kings and fairies, but I wasn’t expecting them to go from breaking into a magical prison to playing Uno. That being said, my biggest critique is the lack of diversity. With the regular introduction of new characters, there were so many opportunities. I really did appreciate how the character development happens over a long period of time. Despite my grievances, I’d gladly read more.

I am very surprise on this graphic novel. There are some parts were it was slow but over all it was a cute story with some dark parts. I will not lie it got dark at the end so we will have to wait and see what happens in the next book.

I'm not sure what to say about this book. Discovering that the comic was originally on Webtoons makes sense, because the pacing seemed a little uneven for a book. It was also darker, plot-wise, than anticipated from the cover (and the start of the book). All in all it felt a little too long for one volume, and I probably won't continue reading the next volume(s).
