ALL THE FEELS! This truly brought the series full circle for me. Gage & Sadies love story is full of drama, passion, baggage, romance, pretty much d, all of the above. I highly recommend reading the entire series if you haven’t already.

Every once and while I read a book that touches my soul so hard it leaks out of my eyes for hours and hours. Bleeding Chaos is one of those books. It's a very emotional, beautifully written, second chance romance that I couldn't put down.

I knew that going into Gages book that his story would dig into old wounds that might be a little uncomfortable. However, Nikki wrote a story that is both emotionally realistic, but still very touching that even my emotional triggers were wrapped in a warm blanket of soothing calm.

While Gage has his own story of loss and addiction, the FMC, Sadie does as well. While Gage has been digging himself deeper into addiction since he lost his girlfriend six years ago, it's upon a visit to her tombstone, that he comes across a woman who is lost in her own grief. Sadie is this woman who is drowning in her own grief and Gage notices a familiar soul even through his drug-fog. They are able to comfort one another without really getting close because of this empty feeling inside, but it's also not helping, if that makes sense. Gage is still an addict and Sadie is still avoiding her life. To say the rest is history is to belittle what happens, because sooooo much happens, but I'll just say, it's emotional, and heartbreaking and yet also inspiring.

What I will say is...addiction is hard. Period. But, I loved how Nikki not only tackled the downslide of addiction, as it doesn’t happen instantly and for those stuck in the sycle there is a mental health aspect in both staying in the downward spiral and also involved in getting better, plus it also doesn't happen overnight. So many books jump the gun in fictionalizing the aspect that love cures you and while I agree that having a strong foundation of loved ones supporting you goes a long way towards recovery, it's not the cure. Once Gage is getting help he is very aware that he was using for years and his recovery will continue for years to come, if not the rest of his life, but he is also aware that he is the only one who can fix himself and without getting help he is also the one who can falter again. His message was very powerful and so very strong, hence the soulful tears.

Sadie is a fierce powerhouse. Her life is torn apart over and over again, but she continually pulls up her bootstraps and puts herself back together. Her ability to forgive, love, and pick up the pieces of her life is amazing and I never once thought bad of her for the decisions she made regarding how she had to guard her feelings. It takes a good foundation to keep moving forward and without her huge heart I'm not sure Gage could have done as well as he did, especially with his job, so I did like her.

This whole book brought me to tears over and over, as Gage reminds me of someone very special and Nikki did his story justice. As much as it shocks me, considering this entire series has been fantastic, I do believe this is my favorite story of the series.

Bleeding Chaos
Love & Lyrics, Book 4
By: Nikki Ash
Narrated by: Gregory Salinas, Kelsey Navarro

Oh my, what a phenomenal story. From the very beginning, I was sitting with tissues as Nikki Ash broke my heart and she slowly put it all back together. Gage is the drummer for Raging Chaos and he is a mess. After losing his first love, Tori, he never was able to put it behind him. With self medication, he kept himself afloat. When visiting Tori's grave, he witnessed a woman, Sadie, devastated and hanging on the edge. He takes her in and our story begins. This is not an easy listen, far from it. It's captivating as it kept me living through both of grief, dealing with the addictions and just what can be tolerated. Sadie is amazing as she progresses through her life and finds her new happiness. Gage has a tough journey, and I loved how the band stood behind him and kept him on track. It's a fabulous listen and my absolute favorite of the series(I have loved them all!).

Gregory Salinas and Kelsey Navarro. That was all I needed to hear knowing this was going to be a good listen, but WOW! Salinas delivers Gage with every emotional tug possible. This character goes through so much, and Salinas finds every nook and cranny he had, making him real. Navarro had me in tears, and I don't cry easily. Sadie is broken and hurting, and Navarro had my heart hurting right along with her. These two were fantastic!!!

Second chance/surprise baby/rockstar
3.5⭐ this one Is probably one of the best books in the series, Gage and Sadie meet in the middle of horrible grief, for Gage many years have passed, but he just used drugs as a coping mechanism instead of dealing with it. He meets Sadie when he goes to visit his ex girlfriend's grave and finds Sadie just laying in front of a grave, for some reason her pain calls to him and when he sees her again and she is in trouble he decides to help her. Two grieving people just using each other to easy the pain, but when one of the guys points out how much he has been hanging out with Sadie he flips out and decides to push her away in the worst way. He hit rock bottom and works on himself and on a random day once he is back, Kaylee sees Sadie with a baby and tells him and all he wants now is to be a part of the baby's life.
He does everything he can to be a part of their family while maintaining sobriety.
You can feel how deep the grief runs for both of them and how much they support each other, it's a beautiful and painful story

Bleeding Chaos takes you on an emotional rollercoaster with the gamut of emotions - it's heartbreakingly sad at times, angsty others, and yet incredibly sweet and romantic in others. Gage has been through hell over the years and is just sort of drifting through his life, numbing his emotions, when he meets Sadie, who has been through some of the worst things someone can be through. Eventually, when Gage takes a turn towards his lowest point, and pushes Sadie away, she walks away while pulling herself together. The story picks up again many months later, when Gage has finally turned things around and started really living his life and he discovers Sadie has had his baby and he needs to find a way back into their lives.

Since the first book in the series, I've been wanting Gage's story, and Bleeding Chaos didn't disappoint. Despite how angsty and emotional the first part of the book is, it's really sweet, heartfelt romance and two people who have been through some of the terrible things life can throw at you, and then learning how to heal and forge a new life together. Definitely pay attention to the triggers for this story, which can be found on the author's website.

I knew this book would hurt; I just knew it would cause me massive amount of pain. It was built up throughout the series and we knew what we were going to get but we also had no idea why so many of the events occurred.

If you have read the previous books, then you know that Gage suffers from drug addiction for years ever since his first love and high school girlfriend killed herself. We never found out why she did it and we finally get the answers we are looking for and I wish it would have been different. She hangs herself and leaves Gage a letter explaining why, a letter he has kept for years and rereads. She admitted that her stepfather rapes her and her mother refuses to believe her and since he is in a position of power she will never be believed and fears what he will do and the last confession? She was pregnant, she did not know who the child belonged to and that was the last straw for her.

Gage after this is no longer the same, he lost so much that night. He turns to drugs and alcohol. For years he used it as a crutch and the only way he could function was high.

Years later before he overdoses and attempts to kill himself, he meets our FMC who he sees at the cemetery mourning her husband and son (who died in a car crash cause her husband was an addict as well) and a day prior to their death she had a miscarriage. She lost everything and fell into Gage's bed to numb the pain. They use each other but Gage feels her embedding herself into his life too much and attempts to push her away which is where the gray area cheating occurs.

Gray area cheating: He goes to the club and gets extremely high on cocaine and heroin, brings back two girls and she sees him being serviced by one and she leaves with no fuss. They were never in a relationship and just sleeping together which is why this is gray area cheating. Gage also was so high that he doesn't remember much of what happened, but he is disgusted with himself for how he handled it all.
She finds out she is pregnant right around the time he overdoses to kill himself and decides to save herself the heartbreak of dealing with another addict and never tells him.

When their daughter is born, he has been released from rehab and has been clean for 10/11 months at this point and finds out about everything.

They deal with their problems; she has massive trust issues but overcomes it all and they get back together.

Honestly, I was waiting for the other shoe to drop and Gage relapse at some point, but he was strong. He was determined to be a better man and a great father to the child he had and make up for years of pain he had accumulated.
