I loved the book until about 3/4 the way completed. I felt it became repetitive at that point. However, the ending seemed rushed.

Loved this new Barbara Kingsolver, especially for the thoughtful look at this area of the country. Has the rich characters of her books like Poisonwood Bible and Prodigal Summer. The audio narrator was fabulous—really created the character of Demon. Read this after David Copperfield and am glad I read it first since the connection to those characters added a wonderful layer.
