Okay...so this book, man...it was so good!! I absolutely loved it! Really, my only problem is that the romance seemed a bit underdeveloped and I got a bit of whiplash from reading it. And Julian...Don't even get me started on that beautiful piece of man!

Anyway, this book was truly unique! Complex and unpredictable. Left me guessing to the very end and had me on the edge of my seat! Impossible to put down! A must read!

I would have loved this book if the female leads could be more exciting and fit into the plot. The book is amazing no doubt, the plot is captivating and the writing style is awesome. The plot is magical and charismatic. Caraval is amazing, I wanna be one of the Legend's players as long as the game doesn't get worse. it is a story where you can leave reality behind and take off on a journey to a place where magic and fairytales come alive.

Coming to the characters, the one star I cannot give to this story is because of some of its characters.

Scarlett- the elder sister who loves her sister Tella more than anything in the world. She is a prisoner in her own home, naive and beautiful as you would expect any female lead. she always dreams of Caraval as told to her by her Grandmother. All this leads her to Caraval and into a dirty game, the impact of the game on her and her reaction is justified in the story. Her and Julian's chemistry could be depicted more, but her and Julian ending are not what I expected.

Donatella- I don't like her character in the story at all. her character is interesting and cute in the beginning but as the story ended I cannot just bring myself to like her character, she needs to see some doctor soon because all she does is giggle. She could be shown more in the story but it didn't happen and how at the end she was depicted so smart doesn't make sense to me.

Julian- I like his character, the charming, mysterious yet loving character he is, I love his and Scarlett's story like their story could be made a perfect story that developed in Caraval despite the magic, lies, and tricks. and that happen but did not satisfy me.

Legend- I don't know who is he. he's still a mystery so no words.

other character played their role well in the story being mysterious and magical to make the story interesting and full of twists and turns.

the chapters and not long to bore you, they are captivating and full of magic. just forget the characters once and read this story for the magic of Caraval. just experience it, you might imagine it unfolding in front of your eyes as you read the story. This story is worth a try.

the first 300 pages were so good, and then the rest just turned it all into waste of paper.
