First I read the book and then watched the Ghibli film. Honestly, the book is better, I think it makes more sense. I preferred that the 'love plot' was not prominent, as oppose to the movie. You kinda stick to the end to know if the curse is going to break or not and that keeps you on your toes. I loved that Sophie is very chill about becoming old and how she describes being old, the fact that you automatically stop caring about what everybody thinks. Is very accurate and somehow inspiring.

It's a simple story but so much fun and very endearing. I enjoyed it much more than I expected

just finished howl’s moving castle and of course as expected it was a reaally cozy read ⊹₊⟡⋆
the book really relaxed me, maybe a bit too much that found myself sleepy while reading. the first half had its moments but i wasn’t as invested in the second half. howl, especially, felt a bit annoying at times. still, the whimsical and cozy vibes were there, which is what i was hoping for (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶)
