A cozy, funny, warm, low-stakes fantasy and personal favorite book. Sophie is hilarious and the characters all interacting together is a fun, quick romp of a read. It just holds a lot of nostalgia for me.

Pure fun, cozy, helped to have the gorgeous movie visuals floating in my head although the plot of the book expands/diverges quite a bit from the movie’s. Really enjoyed the characters, reveals, and plot development. I think there were a few things that could have been clued better throughout, but overall a well held-together original storyline.

Same kind of warmth as Pride and Prejudice, this is shelving with the Princess Bride and Stardust as cozy easy fantasy that just makes me feel safe and happy. What a great time this was.

So charming! Having just recently watched the movie, I'm glad to have read the book. it better explains actions taken by the characters and was very sweet.
