As with Sollee's prior book on witches, there's some fun stuff in this volume, but the entire collection feels very frothy and insubstantial, often feeling more like a list of anecdotes and fun facts with the slim connective tissues of "cats and ladies." She never delves too deep or draws any truly insightful conclusions, which makes this a fun little confection that now that I'm done reading, I can recall very little of.

Just the right balance of light-hearted and deep; this one explores a myriad of topics relating to women, cats, feminism and sexuality. A fascinating read.

I really liked this book and as a cat lover found it fascinating.

All the topics were interesting but it almost felt like there were too many packed into one book. I would've liked to read detailed discussions on each of the concepts (some could be their own book entirely), but I guess this functioned well as an introduction to each of those ideas.

Who couldn’t enjoy a book that asks “we know cats are sluts, but why are they kinky?”

(I also ran into six cats while listening to this book over two walks. SPOOKY)
