It was a silly goofy book with very short stories. I liked that we were in the head of all the characters a little bit

It's fun seeing my favorite side characters be the hero of some short stories. It's a cute way to continue the stories.

I love that we always get a companion novel after each series, I think my favourite short story was the one with TJ

"Some days you are the axe, some days you are the decapitated featured head"

Hey guys, so I finished the short story collection set in the world of Magnus Chase after Ship of the Dead called 9 from the Nine world. The stories featured main characters from the series, Odin, Amir, Sam, Blitz, Hearth, TJ, Map, Half and Alex. They all were in one realm of the nine norse realms. And they all involved having to deal with some chaos or mischief that occurred in the realms. I actually liked they all got their little spotlight, mission, time to shine. It was kind of a taste of how they would deal if left alone to face adversity. Although all the stories were good, written with just enough detail to give you a sense of whats what, not really adding much to the characters background just whats occurring, along with that signature, laugh out laugh, Riordan humor (albeit some stories had more humor than others), my fav stories were the one with Heart and Alex. Hearth just deserved to be the hero for once, like the sole one. He just, deserved some recognition. My poor baby. Turns out my baby is badass, dont wanna mess with, sassy little elf. That's all I'm gonna say about his short stories, cause any more would spoil it. And Alex's pov, *sighs* that was just great. Oh! And in case you guys thought the characters are only in their designated short story, that's a lie. They all intertwined and mingled throughout the various stories. And one character in particular shows up in all the stories. But I just loved how Thor randomly showed up in all the stories and either helps (not directly) or hinders (directly) the demigods missions. I wish Mallory had taken more of a sharp tongue to him during her short stories, which featured hilarious insults. I would talk about the other short stories, but I'm afraid I might give away what they were centered around. So, if you want to know, just read the book. Its a relatively easy and quick read and great escape back into the Norse world. I enjoyed it. Which I'm glad because for a moment it took a bit to get into it. At first I was like "oh no, am I getting to old for riordan books? than that cleared up quickly and I was like nah. Never too old" Okay. Well, I am going to stop blabbing and figure out what to read next. Bye. Till next time.
