I enjoyed the story but I found Jordan to be incredibly naive given her profession. At times she wouldn't make assumptions and wanted more facts and other times she'd jump to conclusions and make quick assumptions. She didn't come off as very professional. All of this might make sense if it were her first day on the job but she'd been at it for a decade, apparently with good reputation. Doubtful. She was otherwise likeable but seriously, too naive to be believable as foreign service.

I really enjoyed this mystery & was almost disappointed by the ending--until I realized there is a book 2! Ordering that from Amazon right now :)

I really enjoyed reading this book and found it hard to put it down. BUT it was not that good. I could not buy into the lead character's career and her relationship with her boyfriend at all. He is described early in the book as a pretty hateful, rude guy and one night kisses her and that's that. I wish Jenoff had developed their relationship more rather than just telling us.

An interesting read if a little predictable
I enjoyed this as a summer read but found it a bit predictable. Would read other books by this author, however.

I enjoyed this book. It is the third I've read by Pam Jenoff. It was suspenseful with a touch of romance.
