I really enjoyed this graphic novel! I had heard rumors that it is confusing, but I honestly didn't think it was confusing to the point that it was not enjoyable. The artwork is absolutely stunning, the writing is frank but interesting, and it leaves you with just enough to get the story but enough questions to push you to read the next volume. Luci is definitely my favorite character and I feel like more attention was given to her than some of the other characters. This was really the only thing I had a problem with-a lot of the other characters were not explored as much as Luci was. I got that she was kind of the spotlight character for this volume, but it would have been nice to learn more about the other characters (and there were quite a few of them). Overall, I had a good time reading this comic and will definitely pick up the next one.

DNF - Stopped on #3, the art work and concept really intrigued me - I was really hoping to like it...but a lot of it is going straight over my head. Maybe I'll try again soon, but it's just not for me at the moment.

I found the story line to be just OK, it was certainly interesting, but not my favorite. The real saving grace for me was the artwork, it is just absolutely beautiful, I loved it.

I'm very conflicted about how I feel about Volume 1. On one hand, the story overall is very very interesting, and I want to see more of the various gods and how they came to be. There are some real Percy Jackson-y vibes, although much more adult, about the whole gods-among-humans thing.
The art style is also good; I enjoy the use of the electric pastels, and the colors set the scenes very nicely.

But this felt confusing. There were multiple times that I had to go back and re-read a passage or a couple of pages. The concert scene in the subway tunnels was especially confusing! I also feel like that whole chunk of the story didn't add much but took up a lot of room (although maybe I misunderstood something? Again, confusing).
The main human character, Laura, is also severely underdeveloped. We don't know why she's so obsessed with the gods, or her motivations, or actually anything about her other than that she loves them.

I want to like this series, and I'm going to read Volume 2. But this just felt a little weak in some respects, although the premise is engaging.
(Note: I was very close to giving this 2 stars, but "rounded up" in a sense. That should give a little more insight into my feelings about this one)

3,5 stars I loved the artwork, I loved the characters but the way they told the story seemed broken and a five kid wrote the sentences. I will be reading the next one cause it did leave off on a cliff hanger lol

YES YES YES YES. I would give this a higher rating if I could. The graphics and colors in this book are incredible. The story is weird and captivating and has so many neat characters. I’m completely in love.

Saw this & the comic shop and was intrigued by the blurb. Immediately wondered: does this go wonderful [a:Gaiman, Neil|14232377|Gaiman, Neil|https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/user/u_50x66-632230dc9882b4352d753eedf9396530.png]-esque places, or is it more like... late season Supernatural?* It's not nearly as rich as the former, but more well written than the latter. Got to the end of the first volume and decided I was curious enough about ONE character that I'd go for volume 2.

*Anwer: It's actually more like late season Lost Girl, but sadly no one watched that.

I've been wanting to acquire this graphic novel since forever and I'm actually very disappointed with the outcome. I felt lost a lot of the way through, I didn't really understand the premise (gods live on earth for two years and die....and then what?) the graphics/illustrations were beautiful though. I just wished I understood the story a bit better.
