As far as cozy mysteries go, this installment was solid. However, I found it to be a bit of a letdown as the last book in the series. The whole beginning, using the lost memory device, felt like a "previously on..." recap at the beginning of a TV show or anime. While the author's intent could've genuinely been to both recall and reminisce, it felt like filler I needed to get through to find out what actually happens. Both the wedding and bringing down of the magical barrier as written in the volume couldn't live up to the height of the buildup from the previous nine volumes.

I loved this book and even if I started the series with this one, I still got into the story without any problems, I’m definitely looking forward to other books in this series.

With Emma’s memory loss there were a lot of references to early books. I really enjoyed how everything came full circle
