This book has gathered quite a few good reviews and stars. I bought it because I liked some of the music and I loved the movie. I thought it would be interesting to learn about the person, but it was not my favorite thing. It wasn't boring, but I suppose not being a super fan may have clouded my opinion of it.

Fascinating glimpse of some of the poetry of the legendary Jim Morrison taken from his journals, notebooks and typescripts. Varies from the rich and incredibly lyrical to the completely off-the-wall.

This is the second book of Morrison's poetry and song lyrics. It is always interesting to see the development of poems into songs. It really is for fans of Morrison (and I am one).
