Poetry is beautiful and precise. The intricate packing and unpacking of desire, love, anger, frustration, loneliness in carefully selected words blows me away. The women featured in this collection of persona poems are you, are women you want to befriend--women you take on the world with, subverting every bullshit, stereotyped expectation. These women are taking back control, and so are we, and so we will together. Violent and beautiful, this collection resonates more than ever.
