Large font, about 21 pages of story. Color pictures. Spanish words are interspersed in pink/red so they stand out. The back has a Spanish glossary and 3 discussion questions and 3 writing prompts. It is about Sofia cooking rice pudding with her grandmother, then her mother. A nice story about Sofia making a mistake by adding salt instead of sugar and then trying to make a new batch to protect her grandmas feelings. She then admits to her grandma she made a new batch and her grandmas says she discovered Sofia’s mistake and made a new batch too so Sofia wouldn’t feel bad. Hispanic characters. Own voices author.
