I love Labonte's anthologies, which are a delicious indulgence. He has an eye for good talent, and the reader can be guaranteed a literary smorgasbord of creative, believable writing. This has to be one of Labonte's strongest collections to date -- interestingly, one of the seedier gems is penned by a female writer. Writing good sex scenes is not easy, let alone gay scenes. A lot of aspirant writers make the mistake of thinking that gay sex is just about 'love truncheons' and/or 'man holes'. This anthology is a fascinating insight into the mechanics and permutations of gay desire and lust. Superb.
