Another Lowell Success!

Nathan Lowell has done it again...turned dreams into fantasy. Yet another great novella in keeping with space travel and military tradition as was the case with the Solar Clipper series. Lowell introduces an all-new cast but with a twist at the end that ties this book in with the Clipper series. Great story once again by a master story teller. Read this book without delay!

I quite liked the terse storytelling here, though one may need to already be familiar with the world to follow all the action. For Solar Clipper fans, of which I am one, thus was a great little treat.

I have been a long time lover of Lowell's Clipper podcasts. I really enjoyed this short story set in the same universe. My only complaint is that the ending could have been a little more clear as to exactly the nature of the station he was taking charge of and some of the plans for it, so that it could truly stand on its own from the podcast series.

Disappointing. Much too short. And I still don't understand what happened at the end. Maybe if I had read all of the other Solar Clipper books I would understand, but I haven't because they're not all out yet except as podcasts.

But even without that lack of understanding the end, I thought it was too short and gave short shrift to the characters, the situation, the background, the story.

Not what I'm used to from Lowell.
