As I don't have kids this will no doubt stand out as a very random story to appear within my December reads, so let me explain why it is here.

Towards the end of December, my Ghost Story Advent all but done with, I came across one of the actors from my favourite TV show Outlander doing an Instagram live where he read out two Christmas stories - this and How The Grinch Stole Christmas. As I already wanted to read The Grinch (see my review of that story to find out why), and as this was the second story of the night, I thought I might as well listen to both.

Tim Downie is the actor's name, and he has the perfect voice for reading these kind of dramatic kids tales. Seriously, if the BBC don't snap him up for bedtime stories they are making a big mistake. HUGE. I would never normally read a story like Sproutzilla, as I said at the start, having no kiddies of my own and having nephews who are too old to be read to now, there is just no cause for me to even look at a book like this, but Tim's narration made it a joy.

And just like I would count any book I listen to on Audible or via You Tube or a Podcast, you're damn right I added this to my Goodreads. So thanks Tim, for helping me to reach my Goodreads goal of reading over 100 books this year, and making it so darn enjoyable in the process.
