S.J is one of my absolute favourite authors!
Everything she writes is gold, I’m hooked from start to finish with each and every book I read

wasn’t the worst book I’ve read but some things made me cringe. And the nickname he has for her…

I really liked the Alliance series, so I thought I would love this. I was wrong. The dialog is incredibly unrealistic (the bit between Jackson and the cousin while Katelyn was sleeping was AWFUL), the nonstop use of the nickname Kitten was grating, and the story was obvious. I can overlook a formulaic story when the characters are interesting or funny, but that was not the case here. Also, the grovel scene at the school made me so uncomfortable I had to skip the whole thing.

The writing style and characters just weren’t for me unfortunately.

When searching for hockey romances on TikTok, this was one of the first I saw. I came for the Kiss Cam Scene and stayed for Jackson Wilder.

Jackson is a cinnamon roll that is just so good. Pro Hockey Player for the Minnesota Sleet, he never expected to be blindsided by Romance Editor Katelyn. They hit it off almost instantly.

Jackson takes his time with Katelyn, who he has nicknamed Kitten. He wants to make her his, but wants to show her what she is worth. Insert surprises by family members, interrupted dates, and his hockey schedule and he gets exactly what he wants.

I'm a sucker for a dual POV. I love reading how both characters feel because it makes for not only a better story, but a better understanding.

Jackson being a Momma's Boy is definitely not a turn off.
