This was a bit of a disappointment after volume one. It felt a lot less focused, and while there were a few really good issues in this (and I loved getting a bunch of Rocket in this one) it wasn't as good as the first. However, I do still love this series and of course I will continue. I mean, it's Carol Danvers as Captain Marvel, how could I not?

Continues the adventures of Captain Marvel and Tic in space as they go a second round with space pirates, hang out with and save intergalactic rock star Lila Cheney from an unwanted marriage, and during which Carol Danvers'/Captain Marvel's cat, Chewie, reveals Star Trek fans will probably guess that the cover of this volume is an homage to the "Trouble With Tribbles" episode in season two of the original series.

I liked the second volume of the newest run of Captain Marvel, too. It's a very breezy, quick read; Stay Fly is fluffy cotton candy most of the time, including a storyline that is basically the Captain Marvel version of "The Trouble with Tribbles," as well as a story that calls for characters to speak in rhyme all the time. It ain't sublime. It's pretty painful, actually.
Wish there had been an arc with a little more substance included, but I'd be lying if I said it bothered me while I was reading. I didn't realize how light/inconsequential the storylines were til afterward -- one of the stories is literally related to Captain Marvel after it happens, so it doesn't exactly feel fraught with tension, although it's still a good read.
Overall: lots of fun to read, and I like the art, too.

The first 2 comics in this I really liked. I'd give #7 & #8 about a 4.5, it was fun seeing Chewie and Rocket. Rocket can't believe that Chewie is a normal cat. And of course Rocket is amazing, I might check out some Guardians of the Galaxy comics just because I loved him so much in these two comics.
The next 2, #9 & #10, I didn't like as much as the first couple but I still really enjoyed them. Probably a 3-3.5 stars for both. Although I didn't really care about a teleporting intergalactic rock star and her betrothal issues, the rhyming was clever, cute but also a little annoying.
And the last one in this bind up #11 was a 3 star read. Didn't love it, didn't hate it. It was just kind of there for me.
Looking forward to reading Volume 3.

This one is pure, silly fluff! Rocket Raccoon was right, Chewie is a Flerken and she's pregnant.. they is a wedding.. and Santa. There is no way I can seriously review this.
It's entertaining and cute, not much to dislike but not as good as volume 1. The Chewie and Raccoon stuff was hilarious, but the rest was a bit needlessly bizarre and didn't seem to fit.

I really liked the first story with Rocket and the Flerken. And the other two were just okay.

I loved the Chewie / Flerken story (more space cats!!!), but the Lila and Grace plots weren't nearly as compelling.
