I loved the first book in this series, Hard to Fight, so I was super excited to get my hands on this one. What I love about these books is the heroines are all in male dominated careers and kick ass while doing it... this book was no exception.

Quinn didn't know the meaning of the word can't... that girl was dedicated, stubborn, loyal and took no attitude from anyone. I love my book heroines when they are like this. I connected so well with Quinn and didn't put this book down (I may have accidentally burned dinner).

Tazen *drools* now that is one sexy, arrogant and aggravating man. He drove Quinn nuts professionally and personally and she returned the favor. I laughed at all the different pranks they pulled on each other. When the chemistry became to much to handle and they finally gave in... well lets just say there should be a disclaimer in this book (Not responsible for melted underwear).

I really did love this book, it's definitely one you will want to push your TBR pile to the side for. I can't wait for the next book in this series!

Tazen and Quinn

This was a really cute book though a little different than what I've gotten used to from Bella Jewel. It kept my attention but I didn't feel it as much as her other books.

I loved this book so much, but then again I love everything Bella Jewel writes. It was a story that I found I really connected to because well I love car racing and am a huge Nascar fan and there was some of that in there, and I loved the story of Taz and Quinn. Definitely 5 stars for me!!!

5 Angel Stars

Hard to break is the second book in the “Alpha’s heart” series by Bella Jewel. After we got to know Grace, the badass bounty hunter, we get to know Quinn, the mechanic. A series of women in typical male jobs.

Quinn loves cars. She's loved them all her life and can't think about a world without her beloved garage “pixie wheels” in it. It's all she's got left. After her mom died from cancer, her dad lost it. Now Quinn has to take care of her alcoholic dad and “his” garage.
When the debts are too high to pay back, Quinn's dad decides to give up the garage, he just fails to tell Quinn about it.

Tazen Watts is a famous race car builder and can't let up the chance to buy a new garage in Florida. Business is business to him, so he doesn't see how Quinn struggles after loosing Pixie Wheels.

Quinn and Tazen are the shit together. Quinn doesn't care who's in front of her and she sure as hell gives him a piece of her mind, when Tazen buys the garage. Tazen doesn't know how to handle a woman like Quinn, he's used to women swooning over him and when Quinn doesn't give a shit about who he is, he's lost.

I love them together. The sparks are flying and when I wasn't crying (which was quite often) I had a warm belly feeling.

This was a story about love, loss and trust.

"I've had a crazy life. I've had a lot of girls. I've had a successful career but fuck, angel, I've never had you.”

How are you supposed not to swoon, when you read something like that?
The 5 Stars were a no-brainer. Belle Jewel kept me captivated once again. I loved every second of it and can't wait for the third book.

Thanks Netgalley for a copy to read and review.

An alpha heart novel and aptly named because this story was beautiful. Quinn experiences some hardships with her auto shop Pixie Wheels and her alcoholic father that no twenty something year old should have to face. In the face of her hardships steps in Tazen as her father sells the auto shop out from under her. The banter between them was really cute and the sex was hot. Great story from a great author with a HEA you won't want to miss! Four stars of entertainment!

This book is simple, easy and short compares to the other book in this series. The story and plot is cliche. The character development is minimum. The chemistry between the characters are luke warm. There is that jnsta lust.

I was expecting more from this book. But hey sometimes i need a simple easy read.

This book was pretty good. I can't really think of anything to mention as a problem.

Quinn has spent her life as in her father's garage. That's where she has dreamed of spending her life as a mechanic. However, life hasn't gone quite as planned. Her mother passed away years ago and her father has spent that time drowning his sorrows in a bottle of alcohol. That's left Quinn cleaning up after her father's mess, and also running his garage. She doesn't mind running the garage, but taking care of her father and all their bills leave her exhausted and in debt. When a buyer comes along to take over the garage and relieve her of the tens of thousands of dollars her and her father owe the bank. The buyer's sudden appearance shocks her for multiple reasons. For one, she didn't realize how bad off they were, and she's devastated that they only have a month (which is impossible) to come up with the money before her dream is foreclosed upon. The other thing that shocks her, is the man who walks into buy her out. He's immediately recognizable as the star of her favorite show, the legendary custom car maker, Tazen Watts. She's star struck at first, but the more he talks the more she can't stand him. He's arrogant and most of all, he's trying to take her dream from her. Anything that happens between them is usually far from romantic. Tazen is definitely taken with her and claims he really likes how real she is. But his cocky exterior and the overwhelming elephant in the room of him wanting her garage are major factors in Quinn's constant refusals. They have a long way to go to ever get to an easy rapport.

The heroine, Quinn, was someone who put her heart into everything (at least everything mentioned in this book). She's determined to help her father (it morphs from love to quilt within the time line). She's dogged in remaining connected to the garage because it's her last link to her late mother. Her passion for cars and mechanics is evident anytime tools and cars and racetracks are around. And then there is her passion for Tazen, which first appears as hatred and then becomes driven by lust.

The hero, Tazen, is fairly steady, especially compared to Quinn. From start to finish, he's cocky, with a dash of compassion when someone is obviously emotional. Generally, he's just solidly confident and trying to make his business successful.

The story itself is pretty decent. Some of it seems to contrived and sometimes just dumb. But generally, it has a good amount of intrigue and the banter of the main characters provides a good amount of entertainment.
