The romance scene had me kicking my feet’s giggling. I got butterflies and the tingling feeling when Alexis talked about Daniel. I think I was more obsessed with the dog, Hunter, more than anything. He reminded me of my own fur babies. When Daniel gave Hunter the pep talks, I couldn’t not stop laughing. If anything, read this book for the dog and a heartfelt MMC 💕

Loved it! I feel like the main character didn't act like someone who has been in therapy for so long already (how had she been in for so long but hadn't already been keyed in to her dad's abuse?) and the "we can't make our lives work together" was a little annoying. You haven't even had a discussion about it! But it had many redeeming qualities to make up for the few annoying pieces. I was laughing out loud at the dick pic scene. And I loooved her speech at the end. Such a great idea. I actually think a sequel could be really entertaining.

I LOVED this. Abby Jimenez is such a wonderful writer. She makes her characters real and likable at the same time, the conflicts real, doesn’t increase the drama for effect, and manages to make the book still a fairly lighthearted read. The characters feel real and have real, life changing problems and choices, and I spend most of the book feeling uplifted and hopeful. I hope she never stops writing, and I have decades of her books to enjoy.

Mild spoiler/trigger warning: short, graphic description of side character giving birth.
