Some thoughts:
Fated partner, other half, getting a bit tired of this whole concept. Especially when it is accompanied by the best sex to ever sex. 
Great depiction of the abuse cycle, classism, and family relationships.
Realistic dialogue and characters with flaws and quirks. Memorable side characters.
Dick pic passage was hilarious.

Overall I enjoyed my time with this book well enough. The whole concept isn't terribly original and the story beats are very predictable, but I did enjoy some of the social commentary woven into the story. I had hoped to get a bit more from this book as people have been raving about this, but I think contempary, heterosexual romance might just not really be for me at this point in my life.

I love that Jimenez’s books are not just rom-coms, they also cover social issues like domestic violence/abuse in a real way. The attraction between main characters is intense, the dialogue witty, and the plot grips you the whole way through. And you also walk away with practical tips on how to recognize covert narcissistic abuse, and how to support people in an abusive relationship so they can save themselves when they are ready. Five stars!
