I really enjoyed this book! The world was so interesting to learn about and the characters were fun to read about. My favorite being poor Maura who I think nearly passed out from fear every time she was with Diem lol. I’m excited to see how the world and characters progress through the next books. I think this series has potential to become one of my favorite fantasy series!

this was so bad omg. the author wants diem to be a katniss everdeen soooooo bad. instead diem is incredibly annoying and flip flops sides between the oppressor and oppressed, its giving all lives matter kind of bs. and the plot twist at the end with her being crowned queen loooool I laughed out loud it was so silly. also I didn’t buy the chemistry between her and Luther. their love triangle is a peeta-katniss-gale knockoff but in this case they’re both gale
