This was better by the first one, by about half a star, but there's no half stars. So same rating it is. Same plusses as #1, but the character development was pretty great and made it a better book. I very much enjoy this series.

Better than the last one. The language and writing much improved and the story stronger, though it's still an easy read. Good ideas with the Durkoth and Dyads, and the journey/redemption/resurrection of the main character is proceeding well.

Decent, not amazing assassin/shadow-mage/thief fantasy book.
