Ok I'll be honest this is not a normal book for me, I really liked it though. The female was a real kick ass heroine who had bonded with a warlord and that part truly had me. The action in the book is so long and drawn out though, and truly I wanted more kick ass alpha scenes. She did save the day plenty of times but it only took away from the bad ass of the warlord. So that pulled it away from the five star rating.

So once again I've managed to pick out a book that is basically an alien/supernatural creature bloodbath. Yes there are some very funny parts. Those parts however are overshadowed by the none stop fighting with cannibalistic aliens. The only way I made it though the book was by glossing over the parts where aliens were eating humans/humanoid-aliens. The lead h, well the whole story is really about her, you do get interactions with others but every scene is focused on her; and lets face it she was just a bit to 'All Powerful' even if there were others who held more power than her. In the end it scrapes by with 3 stars but I will NOT be continuing the series. (I find this sad because the characters are so awesome but the story line kill's that part for me)

I seem to have a hard time finding books with decent heroines, I think this ones just made it to the top of my list along with G.A Aiken's Dragon Kin Heroines & S. E Smiths Dragon Lords of Valdier heroines.

No wimpy pathetic damsels in distress here. Freakin' awesome!
I was crying with laughter throughout this.
I seriously love Kaylee and Tae, I am woman, hear me roar!
Cracked me up. :')
Lot's more like this, plitty please?

Oh & if anyone knows of any other books with awesome characters like this & the ones I've mentioned, please tell me? Cheers!

I am loving this series!!! I kinda started backwards with reading Vexing Voss first but I can't wait to get my hands on the next books to continue reading the exploits of these hilarious strong and independent women!! We need more books like these!!!
