I enjoyed reading Dean and Carly’s romance. Dean is a scarred hero who doesn’t believe in love and commitment. It was fun watching him grow and realize that it’s better to love than never to try. These two together are interesting and fun. I enjoyed many of the side characters, especially the older lady – she added so much to the story and caused me to laugh every time she was on page. I wished the ending had been different, for me it felt abrupt.

Until the Sun Sets is a sweet, sexy, friends to lovers, fake relationship story. The slut shaming of the MMC by family members was a bit much, but it was handled better later on in the book. I enjoyed The Graysons series overall.

I’m going to keep this one short because I have a migraine right now and the light from my computer is killing me. I finally finished the last novella in the Can’t Help Falling in Love bind-up. And it seems like these novellas really ran the gambit with me. This one is 2 stars, the first novella was 3.25 stars, and the middle one was 4.25 stars. I still want to explore more of this author’s work. But I think I need to go with my gut on which ones sound the best to me before picking something up. I knew this one might not be for me since it was going to be set in Mexico and have Mexican Vacation Vibes. But it was also supposed to have a friends to lovers trope and an only one bed trope. These are things my angst loving heart pines for. (Did you see what I did there? Migraine me thinks she’s so funny.) But this one was more sand and sea and less of the tropes I love. Also, Dean’s kind of a dick. And not the kind I would forgive. But Carly did and quickly.

I happened to win this novella in a giveaway and I'm glad I did. I love both the fake relationship and friends to lovers tropes and this story was a good example of both. Carly and Dean had great chemistry plus there's lots of fun banter that made this a light, enjoyable read. Dean is Carly's boss which may turn some readers off, but their relationship is clearly consensual and takes place mainly outside the workplace. I also liked the supporting characters some of whom were featured in other novellas in the series. I look forward to reading more by this author.

Short, best friends to lovers novella. I liked the set up a lot but I always think novellas are hard sometimes because it's really hard to fit a plot and decent character development in the space allowed. I feel like we could have used more backstory with both Carly and Dean. Otherwise, it was a fun, short read, perfect for the beach!
