Striking illustrations and thought-provoking story. I found the rhymes a bit forced in places though.

Beautifully illustrated book. Great for introducing the concept of time and space to a preschooler. Great for beginning five common topic type discussions with the very young.

We received this as this month's book from the Dolly Parton Imagination library. I think it would be more appropriate to a child slightly older than his 4 years --because for example it refers to homework and a child doing a relatively detailed drawing -- but the language is accessible for preschool and he is enjoying it.

I love the pictures but the rhyme and rhythm is often awkward and difficult to figure out. This unbalances the book.
