Fun appetizer for Lies and Prophecy. Introduces the main characters in a nice, descriptive fashion that really gives a feel for them, then brings them together in a convincing way. The whole concept of a college for magic with degrees in Ceremonial Magic and Divination, etc. is cool, and the introduction of a "wilder," the first to be admitted to the university (wilders being the super duper powerfuls of the magic world and not commonly seen) as one of the main characters is exciting.

Great intro!
This novella is a great introduction to the Wilders series. I'm pleased to have some backstory going into it. The character development has me invested in them. I'm loving Kim.
