Very sweet story about friendships, insecurities and changes. I really liked it. The ending was quite a surprise.

I love this author’s writing, it’s just plain poetic and she makes you fall in love with her characters. This was a great continuation of love walked in and I was excited to continue the story. While slow at parts, the last 100 pages really did fly by. Excited to start the third...

Really lovely chick-lit. If only love ever actually happened like this--but, still lovely.

I really enjoy how her characters change throughout the novel. I think that a lot of the women in Folsom are like Piper, this novel reminds you to look below the surface. Bring out the tissue though, because I guarantee this one will make you cry in the middle. Many unique characters and beautiful prose.

Meh. Her use of language was nice, but as a whole the plot and characters were pretty thin.

This is a beautifully written, intelligent and moving book about friendship and love. I hated then loved Piper the judgemental perfectionist who is moulded by loss and emerges so much fuller. The lovable genius Dev searching for a father he has never known and his enigmatic mother Lake who can't let herself love and harbours a secret. The main character is Cornelia who is open and trusting and then... I could not get the first of this trilogy on kindle so I missed Love Walked In but I am now on to I'll be you Blue Sky. I love finding a new author and this one looks like a gem!

I just can't explain how I love this so much. I read the book like all the people in it are real, and I wish I could go have dinner with them. Even the character I initially disliked came around for me... she became real and ... I kinda liked her. I didn't get her life but still.
I think this is why I like Marisa de los Santos. She writes characters I want to know. This reminds me most of Barbara Kingsolver's Animal Dreams and The Bean Trees, and I think it's mainly because I like the people.
