I really enjoyed it, but geez is there a lot going on. I'm not sure how realistic the timeline is, as everything happens on foot.
London as a setting is wonderful to read about.

Chaloner untangles another intensely complicated mystery. I predicted the true murderer, but the ending was still fantastic

nice, easy mystery with plenty of detail about restoration england. lots of typos and little things take it half a star down from a breezy 3 stars

A solid book from Susanna Gregory, but I like her Matthew Bartholomew books more. I think it's a combination of the era and the characters. Chaloner finds himself surrounded by political intrigues that I found it a tad tedious to follow.
