absolutely outstanding. a true master of verse and profundity. please read this if you can, even if you are hesitant about poetry. there are some poems that will go over your head, but others that will grab you. Can’t wait to reread this all my life

Moore’s syllable-to-syllable poesis is so good that you might even forget that you are reading a poem about baseball.

Christmas present from bae because he has feelings and junk and I'm a cold-hearted wretch who's never really connected with poetry.

Sadly, still the case. Three stars because even I can recognize the artistry and precision here, but I'm still lost in the woods when it comes to poems.

So dense, so brilliant. Reading her makes me feel glad and stupid. This was just an initial lap through her Collected...definitely a book to revisit.

Complemented itself greatly to reading aloud; beautiful and intricate.

A lot of this was just hard to read, although parts of it were as delightful as the poem that made me want to read more Moore (which, now I think of it, I don't remember seeing in this book, which was odd).

Description of plants and animals is not my favourite thing to read in poetry.

Love the critical work in this compilation, including the various forms in which these poems published. A fantastic critical edition.

Moore was a challenging poet to get used to, but once I did, I pretty much couldn't stop. My favorite poems were "A Grave" and "What are years?" They were fantastic.
