Burned by Sarah Morgan is the second Miller Sisters book, but can be read as a standalone. This is a short story and is only about 83 pages. Despite the length though, I really enjoyed this one. It was sexy and sweet, and had just the perfect amount of sexual tension. Rosie Miller is having a bad week. She just found out that the gym she works for has been bought and will be under new management and now she is being dumped by her boring boyfriend. If that wasn't bad enough she is being dumped right in front of her ex that broke her heart and left her five years ago. When Hunter Black follows her after she leaves the restaurant he helps her out and refuses to leave her until he sees her home safely. She thinks that is the end of things but then she finds out that he is her new boss at the gym. The connection between them is still there, but can they move forward and get over the past?

Hunter Black was sexy and sweet, and I loved that he looked out for Rosie. He wouldn't allow her to be put in danger and was determined to protect her, even though he knew she was a capable woman. I liked that he helped her train and wasn't intimidated by her being as athletic as she was and by her being into martial arts. Rosie was strong and independent, and yet she also had a vulnerable side. She had been hurt by what happened with Hunter in the past, and she blamed a lot of it on herself. But she didn't let that stop her from being successful in her career, and I really liked how passionate she was about what she did. Rosie and Hunter were super hot together, and you could feel the tension between them. Their feelings and attraction had never gone away, and I liked seeing them rekindle their relationship.

Overall, this book was really good. I liked the steam and heat, and I really enjoyed the tension between them. I was surprised that the length of this story didn't seem to hurt anything that happened between them, and I found everything to be real and believable. It definitely helped that they had known each other so well in the past, but they seemed to step so easily back into their roles from before. I think this is a great story if you are looking for something short and sexy that ends happily. I look forward to reading more from Sarah Morgan in the future, and after reading this one I will definitely read the first Miller Sisters book Ripped.

When I first started reading the Cosmo Red Hot Reads I was really impressed. I thought they were fun, sexy, smart little books that pretty much perfectly whetted my appetite. And then we hit a rough patch. I wasn't into the stories, characters, or writing and I wondered if the Red Hot Reads and I were done forever.

I should not have been afraid though because Burned has totally renewed my faith in the Red Hot Reads, in fact, it's up there with my favorites of the series. Like my other favorites Burned tells a complete story in a very short period of time. Sarah Morgan was helped by revisiting a character we already met in [b:Ripped|18746662|Ripped (Miller Sisters, #1)|Sarah Morgan|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1383331960s/18746662.jpg|26629879], Rosie, the main character here, is Hayley's little sister, but in my mind Burned is able to stand on its own.

Rosie is a martial arts expert and a physical trainer who, after being burned by her first boyfriend five years ago, tends to pick boring guys who are totally wrong for her. When he first love returns, as the owner of the gym where she works, she has to confront her demons and decide if she can give him another chance.

There were so many strong things about this story. Rosie's career was fun to read about and who doesn't love a strong female character? Once again her relationship with her sister was great and it was fun to have another look at Nico and Hayley. And her relationship with Hunter, her ex, was also very sweet (and sexy). Plus, the story takes place in London and, for such a short book, I really felt like I was in the city and knew the places Rosie was going.

If you're looking for a quick, fun, smart, sexy read pick this up!

I received an electronic review copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley (thank you!). All opinions are my own.

Dale mamita que te haces si te encantaaaa!!!!

Lo que más me gustó de esta saga es la relación entre las dos hermanas y aunque puede parecer superficial la autora le pone onda y es una lectura romántica con personajes que no son de cartón.

This was a fun read! Rosie is a terrific character with lots of regrets about her past and present love life. When she encounters Hunter all kinds of sparks fly!

I loved "Ripped", Hayley and Nico's story and of course I wanted to know who Rosie's ex was. I mean, he had taken on Voldemort like proportions! Well, I finally read "Burned" and got to meet him and boy was he worth the wait.

The story starts with Rosie in a lovely restaurant getting dumped by current boyfriend and tool Brian. He's intimidated by the fact that she is stronger and more bad ass than he is ann wishes she would join a book club and bake cakes. Tool! While listening to this idiot Rosie notices a couple who had just gotten seated, the guy looks a bit familiar but she dismisses it until he turns around and her past comes crashing back on her.

Yes, "he who must not be named" is back and he is back in Rosie's life like a tornado ripping through. She tries her best to avoid him but the circumstances make it almost impossible. Plus, he seems to be on a mission to get Rosie back. Her mind wants no part of it, however, her body is saying a a whole other story. Watching them battle was so much fun. I have to give it to Rosie, she fought a good fight.

My favorite part of this story was Hayley's reaction to Hunter being back. I want a sister like that. My sister's are too polite to go all out. I love them, but I'd love it if we could be more like Hayley and Rosie. I absolutely enjoyed the Miller Sisters series and highly recommend it if you enjoy well written, fun stories with steamy sex and fantasy worthy guys!!

The story of Rosie Miller, martial arts teacher, and Hunter Black, her new boss and the one that got away.

Rosie was devastated when Hunter left her, but has used the experience to grow. She hasn't let herself fall in love since, and the men she dates are all wrong for her, but she believes that's better than getting hurt again.

Hunter re-enters her life unexpectedly, having bought the guy where she works, and she has to fight the feelings she still has for him and act professionally. That doesn't seem to be what he wants, however, and soon the two become involved again.

A second chance at love, this time resulting in a happy ending.

“Is this what you want?” His voice was thickened, his eyes darker than usual and I was so hypnotized by what I saw in those eyes I could hardly breathe, let alone speak.
“Yes. But just sex, nothing else. I’m over you.”
His eyes were dark as flint, hooded, slumberous. “Right now you’re under me, Ninja, which gives me the advantage.”

Burned is the second smokin’ hot novella about the Miller Sisters from Sarah Morgan, who does a terrific job creating fun & flirty characters with a brain.

Rosie and Hunter’s chemistry was every bit as explosive as Hayley and Nico’s from book one. Plus we get to read about one of my favorite tropes here: second chance romance. After devouring Hayley’s novella, Ripped, I was curious about her sister the trainer/martial arts teacher as they are so different. Their relationship is comical, sweet, and I loved how they always have each other’s back, no matter what.
