I loved this book. I wasn't expecting to enjoy it but the incorporation of the zombies into the story worked.

Ok, I am giving it 2 stars even though I couldn't finish it, just because I actually like what it tried to do and can admire it as a noble and novel attempt. I would never read Pride and Prejudice, I don't even have to know what the plot is to know that I would get no joy from reading it. That is not a knock against Austen or Pride and Prejudice, just not my taste, I am sure that it is a great work of literature, but I am not inclined to try and read it and there is a great number of guys like me out there that would not have any interest in reading, but if you add zombies too it, we will give it a shot. Ultimately though, the Pride and Prejudice overpowered the zombies and I had to give up.

Almost gave it 4 but this book made me laugh more than it was a well-written book.  It was definitely entertaining!

While not as good as I had hoped, the zombie action and that included in the storyline lead to some very interesting developments and changes that made the book quite interesting and different that the original.

I still love the original, but am proud to keep a copy of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies next to my original copy of Pride and Prejudice. Both offer a wonderful love story and each have thier own unique aspects to make them both good reads for anyone.

The physical copy stinks of cigarette smoke so I figure it's unwise to keep by the bed with me 😭

The genteel world of Austen mixed with the fantastic world of zombies and ninjas makes for a fun romp.

I haven't actually ever read Jane Austen, I have only listened to a few audiobook renditions of her works, including Pride and Prejudice, which I love. This was a funny, gritty, more violent version of P&P. It was ridiculous and over the top and still I thought it needed to be a bit more different -maybe bloodier. Or less ninja-adjacent. Like, I like that the Bennet sisters are trained fighters, but the whole English society having gone to train is Asia is a bit bizarre. Knowing the british empire they would have enslaved said asians and made them fight instead. I guess zombies are easier to believe than englishfolk being humble enough to acknowledge another culture's superiority in any regard. But I digress. I merely think that mixing zombies and ninjas was a bit much for me. Were it not that I love the original story, I don't think I would have enjoyed this version very much.
