Gabe and Evelyn's story is full of emotional twists and intrigue. Gabe has a complicated family dynamic and is not into relationships. Evelyn has a backstory that doesn't leave her open to trusting anyone. Somehow these two broken people find each other and can't resist the connection that develops between them even though they both know they shouldn't get involved. Another great story by Lara Adrian.

A sexy, action packed thriller
So I’ll admit that I was reluctant to pick this story up. I had read For 100 Days and enjoyed it, but never read the other two stories because I really hate cliffhangers. In my mind, I chose an ending to that story and moved on. But I love this author, and just had to give in and read this one, since it was about a different couple. On man, I’m SO GLAD I read this story. It was sexy, had action and mystery, had wonderfully emotional scenes. I laughed, cried, and shook my head as I read, completely lost in the story. Though the culprit was obvious to me, it was still a FANTASTIC story. I truly hope to read more with these characters, in this world.

This is my first read by Lara Adrian. And I am looking forward to read more of her books. A whole lot more. I am very impress with Run to You. The story of bodyguard romance is nothing new. What makes Run to You special is that it build a good depth in the story and the character development. I knew this book going to be explosive when Gabriel character being introduced. I always have soft spot for ex marine/ army hero that bear a scars.
The chemistry between Gabriel and Eve is slow. Its linger first then continue to burn. It is very satisfied to see how they both finally consume their attraction. And even after the first half, Miss Adrian still can make the story grow. Even with that stalker twist. This book is also highlight so many things about veteran issues, suicide, drug and depression.
At the end it is a very nice ending.

I loved this story. We get Avery and Nick sighting in this new story about Evelyn and Gabe. Gabe falls in love with the girl he’s trying to protect. He was injured from his time in the service, and she had been in her own type of war. I also loved that his relationship with his father was on the mend also. This is a beautiful story of two broken people finding their missing pieces with each other.

Die eigentliche Trilogie kenne ich noch nicht. Ich war aber trotzdem neugierig auf den Spin Off der Reihe.
Die beiden Protagonisten haben mir gut gefallen. Und das erste Zusammentreffen war auch nicht herkömmliche Art, aber bleibend.
Sowohl Gabriel als auch Evelyn tragen beide ihr Päckchen aus der Vergangenheit mit sich rum. Grad Gabriel fan dich interessant als Charakter, da es selten Charaktere gibt die ein Handicap haben. Da ja dies zum Teil ganz andere Herausforderungen für den Alltag bedeutet.
Beide wirken sympathisch und geben zusammen ein tolles Team ab. Sowohl das Kennenlernen der beiden als auch der leichte Spannungsbogen, hat die Handlung interessant gestaltet. Denn auf Evelyn scheint es jemand abgesehen zu haben.
Ein durchaus unterhaltsame Geschichte und ich bin noch auf die weiteren Charaktere gespannt, was für mich heißt, ich muss die Trilogie lesen.

No matter what Lara Adrian writes her stories are always amazing. Gabe and Evelyn’s story was no different. I would love to see more books from the 100 series in the future.
