Tropes/Themes:
-MF paranormal apocalyptic romance
-Enemies to lovers
-Fated mates
-Captor/captive
-Possessive alpha antihero
-Slow burn
-Dual POV (primarily from heroine’s POV)
-Book #3 in an interconnected series

I still have a little trouble getting over how straight up evil the heroes are at the start of these books, but Famine and Ana are my favorite couple of the series by far. Their chemistry felt the most authentic of the couples to date and I liked how she wasn’t afraid to do whatever it took to try and stop his destruction.

CWs for graphic violence, murder, death, body horror, blood and gore, loss of a parent/loved one, sexual assault, conversations about sex work

Story: 3/5
Audiobook: 4/5 (narrated by Susannah Jones & Jay Ben Markson)
Length 14h40min

I’m addicted to this series. This is a series I know I’ll be re reading. I love that the brothers finally had interactions with each other too

Out of the entire series so far, this is probably my favorite. I absolutely adored Famine and our protagonist Ana, their back and forth banter was so damn good. It gave off enemies to lovers vibes and that's an absolute favorite of mine. Definitely a bit of a slow burn, but so so worth it.
