I loved the writing style and the way situations were described as the character was discovering and coming upon them. The plot gives much beneficial detail to the further Star Wars canon.

This book provides some of Ahsoka's story between the Clone Wars and the Rebels TV shows and introduces some of the characters from Rebels. It starts on the one-year anniversary of the establishment of the Empire. The story successfully conveys life under the Empire's occupation and its impact on the everyday lives of people. The final battle is exhilarating and the reader is left wanting to continue to follow the characters into their new adventures.

I did however struggle a bit with the extracts from the past which were dotted throughout the book but did not always seem connected to the main story.

I would highly recommend watching the Clone Wars series before reading this book, as background knowledge is essential!

Thank you to Netgalley and Bonnier Books UK for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

A fun story that adds depth to an interesting character in the expanded Star Wars universe

Ahsoka Tano is one of the characters in the expanded Star Wars universe that I really liked and I though this story did her justice.

As someone who loves Star Wars and Ahsoka's story, this is a must read. I am looking forward to more Star Wars books by E.K. Johnston.
