Really enjoyed this book, and I feel like it was an accurate representation of Ashoka’s character. I enjoyed a story line for her between Clone Wars and Rebels, and learning how she got involved in everything after. I felt like the end of the novel was a little rushed, so I would have preferred it to have a bit more writing there but otherwise it was so good! Ahsoka is one of my favourite Star Wars characters and this book did her justice.

I can tell from reading this that the author has a passion for Star Wars. She has done Ahsoka justice with this story, as she has filled in gaps not rewritten what already exists. The story picks up after the Clone Wars but before Season 6 of the animated tv show of the same name. Her mannerisms match who she is in the show but with more maturity after seeing so much loss and war.
lays out the foundation for Fulcrum and her white lightsabers
. There is also a hint of queerness in this story which is refreshing. Not saying who that may involve of course as it is minute to the story.

If you are a fan of Ahsoka then you should definitely give this book a try! Definitely wait until after you have finished watching Clone Wars to read this one.
I would also recommend watching Star Wars Rebels before delving into this novel.

Ahsoka holds a very special place in my heart and I was ecstatic to have yet another adventure featuring her (this is the main reason I gave 5 stars). I only wish there were more novels where she is the main protagonist.
It was amazing (and heart breaking at times) to get to learn about how she dealt with the events after Order 66 and how she became a member of the Rebellion.
The story is told through current events as well as flashbacks and the occasional point of view change. The emotion was high in the beginning for me and I struggled to get through the first 6 chapters because of it but once I got through the 6th chapter it was a very fast read for me. I do feel the ending was rather rushed though and the flow towards the end felt a bit off. While I enjoyed the final few pages
(which is a final point of view change featuring The Grand Inquisitor)
they took away from the power of the final lines of the main story.  All in all, it was an enjoyable story and it was really neat to discover yet another portion of the Galaxy far, far away.
