I’ve wanted to read this series for so long now and this novella was the perfect way to start. It introduces the DC Eagles team and I love that these books are in the same universe as Leah’s Mates series as well as Katie Bailey’s new hockey series. Because this was a novella, it may seem a bit rushed but since this was friends-lovers and there was backstory, I thought the pacing and reconnection between West and Melanie flowed very nicely. Looking forward to seeing more of them in the other books in the series.
