It was ok, I really liked Lyla and Beck, they were really cute. I didn't really like how the sex scene was written idk why, there was just something I didn't like.

Okay completely honesty, it's quite obvious this book is based on some well known romantic tropes. It hits on a lot of cliches. We have the troubled hero hiding his past that doesn't believe in love and wants unattached hook ups. We even have the secretly rich and powerful hero. We have the nerdy shy girl with the dramatic makeup that becomes a knock out. We have the friendship adding benefits turning into love. I mean if there were check boxes on romance Madsen hits a lot of them in this story.

We also have interesting and likable characters that I enjoyed spending time with. We have a fun story that as a reader made me smile filled with humorous moments that also made me laugh. And we had a hero that despite his faults was a little swoonworthy.

If you're searching for a literary masterpiece filled with original concepts this isn't the book you're looking for. However if you're looking for a fun, mostly light romance with enjoyable characters and an HEA I'd definitely recommend this one.

Three and a half stars.
It wasn't crazy awesome, but it was still an enjoyable, entertaining read.
I'm a chemistry student and a cat person myself, so I had a lot in common with Lyla. And Beck was so darn sweet! They were a really fun couple!
Totally recommended for people looking for a light, fun book.

This was a cute quick read. A lot of it was easy to predict, but what college sport romance isn't? I loved that neither main character did something horrid to the other one, I think lately a lot of the time im reading things where people are blowing up over tiny infractions that make no sense, or im wondering why people dont just talk to each other, in most of those cases would have made more than half the book not have to happen, or they do things that really cross a line and then im hoping they dont end up together. So it was nice to read this and just understand underling insecurities and getting that people can get hung up on them and seeing them move past them. the writing was smooth and easy to read, made for an enjoyable time.

Its a nice start & I found myself unable and unwilling to stop listening to this audio book.

This was reccommended to me by Scribd as something I would like to read. They weren't wrong this sort of romance is right up my street. I think the only thing that bugs me its a typical geeky girl to hot girl story. She is the classic very smart girl that has a beautiful bombshell hiding under drab and boring hair and clothes. She dyes her hair bright red and dresses a little more revealing, I just found it a bit weird.

I did love the fact they were friends first and the tension is built up to boiling point when you think I can't stand anymore just do something and then boom we've got lift off and all was right with the world. Well story world.

My heart was beating so fast during most of this - it started off so innocent and wholesome then was no holds barred red hot, but still with a mix of wholesome.

It was fast paced and thrilling, pretty hot in some parts - I love romances that are formed by friendships, there’s something ellicit about them.
