You can rely on Freida McFadden for a fast paced, twist packed character driven thriller, and this book does not disappoint. Whilst overall the plot isn’t dissimilar to the first book there’s enough differences to make it worth reading both. You could read the books as stand alones but I enjoyed the continuation of characters between the two books. Well worth the read and only 3.75 and not 4.0 because the first was better.

I enjoyed this read! I definitely was not expecting the ending however, I feel like Enzo's character was kind of a throwaway. He didn't add any real value to the storyline and could've been written much better. I also wish we would've gotten more background on the main character. We get small snippets of her past but not enough to really paint a whole picture as to why she does things the way she does or how she got involved in the lifestyle.

The book kept me entertained, but I cannot really compliment it on its literary accomplishements. It was quite frustrating how Millies situation hadn't really changed from the first book, the writing style was a bit pretentious from time to time and I'm still a bit on the fence about the ending.

Gripped. Start to finish. I loved the Housemaid but somehow, this was better. You didn’t really need to have read the housemaid to read this - apart from knowing Millie’s backstory. But both books are 5*. I genuinely didn’t see either twist coming!!!! Amazing.
