This is a Norwegian book about a little old woman who frequently shrinks to the size of a pepperpot and has some strange adventures because of this. Although it may feel dates, children will enjoy the unusual adventures that Mrs. Pepperpot takes and I certainly giggled at the way she speaks to her husband in one of the stories. Not all of the stories are about her; this is more of a collection of stories about toys that come to life, arrogant potatoes (you read me right); hats and mice. It is a collection rich in imagination and child-centric in its tone.
