★★★★★ - This book was absolutely amazing and I can't thank my best friend enough for having recommended it to me.
I'm technically not really into love stories and romance. But I love historical fiction and my best friend recommended this book to me, so I decided to try it because we generally have the same taste.
I absolutely do not regret this. [b:What the Wind Knows|40407141|What the Wind Knows|Amy Harmon|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1533658115l/40407141._SY75_.jpg|62726917] is now one of my favourite books of all time and I can't wait to read another book by [a:Amy Harmon|5829056|Amy Harmon|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1341709289p2/5829056.jpg] because I really enjoyed her writing style.
Many reviews say this is the Irish version of [b:Outlander|10964|Outlander (Outlander, #1)|Diana Gabaldon|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1659086907l/10964._SY75_.jpg|2489796]. Yes and no. Yes, because it's about time travelling and historical fiction. No, because I found it way less boring than Outlander (sorry, but in my opinion, there are way too much useless pages in the Outlander series and I think the TV show is way better).
Also, thanks to this book, I discovered so many things about Irish history and it was so interesting (that's kinda why I love historical fiction so much. It's amazing when you can learn historical stuff from fiction books).
So, in conclusion, I recommend this book to anyone loving historical fiction. If you love romance, read it as well. And finally, if you're just a bit interested in the history of Ireland, you'd probably like it.

What The Wind Knows is a gem of a novel. The prose was so beautiful without being overly flowery. I loved the thread of Yeats in each chapter, I am such a sucker for poetry

Absolutely loved this book! The story was beautiful and sweet. The author did an amazing job describing the scenery and Ireland.

My first Amy Harmon book, definitely not my last! It was amazing. I love an Irish story and one of a woman finding strength in love; not just romantic love but the deep care you can have for family. It was heartwarming, endearing, and made me cry. I wish I could read this book for the first time again. It took me awhile to pick up another book because I knew the next thing I read wouldn't be as good as this.
