Beautiful, heart-warming stories. If anything, I'd definitely read these to my kids. They're not only told in a very child-friendly fashion but it doesn't mean they don't hold any truth within them. Even at my age (and certainly later on) I enjoyed every aspect of this book and I hope that someday I can get the deluxe edition.

I was disappointed in the presentation of the stories. The stories themselves are brilliant :D

Cute, short book that's a nice addition to the Harry Potter mythos. I enjoyed the unique take on wizard world fairy tales, and the notes provide some insight into Dumbledore's character.

Absolutely loved all the stories. The added stuff by dumbledore wasn't bad, it added to the stories a little and was short enough to not be overbearing. I really loved these stories and would recommend it to anyone who likes harry potter or fairy tales.

I never truly had an interest in Beedle of the Bard, I tried first reading the stories in 2011 and rated it a 3 stars. However, I needed this book, why? Solely because of the illustrator. One of the best there is, Chris Riddell! This book needed to be in my collection, and my fiance heard my call (and saw me drooling over the book on multiple occasions, and gave me this book as a present for Christmas.

Rating this book 5 stars solely for the illustrations, though I have to say I have warmed up to the stories + commentary by Dumbledore as well. :) I definitely had more fun reading it, and I totally blame the marvellous, glorious, and beautiful illustrations that are everywhere in this book.
