I almost loved this more than book 1! Almost. I still think I think like Alessandra a little better, so even though I rated this higher, I still liked book 1 more 😂
Anyway, this was great! I loved her struggles with power, or her lack of power, her lack of freedom, that was addressed really well and it was really depressing. I loved the romance, we have full on enemies to lovers in this one, and I love it when they actually try to kill each other

She smiles. "I thought to poison Kallias once. I didn't go through with it, though. How fortunate that both our men survived us."
