What a fantastic book to begin my 2024 reading journey with. I thoroughly enjoyed this memoir (bonus points for it being available on Kindle unlimited, too).

Honey writes like the reader is a long-time friend she’s sharing life advice with, which makes this book easy to read and hard to put down. This book is insightful and profound without being preachy or judgmental, which, to me, makes for a perfect memoir.

Beautifully Written

The author was vulnerable and raw in everything she wrote. Her story is so relatable on so many levels. The portions I could not relate to still had me fully emerged because she did such a wonderful job of wrapping you into what she experienced. It was a book I didn’t know I needed to read!

"...I was still so new and already in motion. Unaware that I was never meant to be linear. That my progress in life wouldn't come in a series of checkboxes. I grow like an ocean, swelling with energy. Understanding comes in waves. Then, recedes and returns. Always bringing me back to myself, always knowing—even if I don't always understand."

I really liked her voice. Her depictions of her love interests felt so real, like “I know that guy”. I wanted more of her outside dating to give her dating life more context.
